“P. Giovio” Civic Museum - Prehistoric and protohistoric section
The prehistoric and protohistoric section illustrates, in chronological order, the discoveries from the area dating from the Palaeolithic to the Iron Age. Amongst the material arrived at the museum via 19th century collectors are noteworthy the objects from the pile-dwelling stations of Lagozza at Besnate (VA) and the abundant documentation relative to the prehistoric installations in Lombardy and, in particular, in the Varese area.
