Civic Archaeological Museum
The recently inaugurated Early Medieval section includes objects of Gothic, Alemannic and Lombard origin (from the V to the VII century AD), in particular gold work and weapons. The majority of the pieces come from graves: in fact a rich array of grave goods are displayed from the cemeteries of Trezzo d'Adda, Campione d'Italia, Varedo and Boffalora, as well as the jewellery from the ladies of Campione d'Italia (CO). A sector is dedicated to paleoanthropology, with reconstructions of personages and a presentation of the principal pathologies of the period.
