Lagoni di Mercurago Park

The excavation of the pile-dwelling settlement of Lagone di Mercurago, which developed along the lake shore between XVIII and the XV century BC, has produced finds that are extremely well preserved, thanks to the peat in which they were deposited. Particularly noteworthy are the famous wheels that are conserved today as chalk mouldings.
