Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sasso
An important place for Marian pilgrims in the Ticino area, founded in 1480 by a priest from the convent of S. Francesco at Locarno, to which is also attributed the planning of the Sacred Mountain area. Splendid models in wood and in terracotta still survive of this last mentioned.
